I'm Kaitlyn —
a  born-and-raised Coloradan, creator, visionary, Christ follower, wife, homemaker, artist, and most likely to eat chicken wings for breakfast. 

I always knew I wanted to do something creative and own my own business... but I had a hard time choosing one thing.

From writing books, graphic designing, painting canvases, and photography, to gardening, interior decorating, and occasionally doing a 3-month kitchen transformation... I never thought I could settle on just one thing.

I grew up making art instead of paying attention in math class, if that gives you an idea of where my heart is. I loved painting, creating, and homemaking from a young age. I watched my parents build businesses and it felt natural for me to do the same. I opted out of the college experience and instead, started businesses.

Between 2017 and 2022, I had started businesses in photography and then logo design, started selling homemade wooden shelves, put my artwork on Etsy, spent a couple years immersed in the Network Marketing world, learned direct sales, wrote and published two books, and even considered becoming a Christian emotional health coach. This was a turning point for me because nothing was "sticking".










It wasn't until I tried deviating away from creativity to become an emotional health coach that I realized, I will never be able to operate outside of the creative calling God's given me. I was parked outside a Noodle's & CO, listing all the reasons why I should start this coaching business but out of nowhere, I spoke out loud, "I do not want to do this, I want to create" and the idea of marketing hit me. Of course, doubt flooded in because I didn’t have a college degree or marketing education at the time, but I knew I could help businesses grow from what I picked up along the way.

I had so much peace when deciding to go all in on Luma Creative on October 10th, 2022. It's like all the businesses and experiences, although they seemed to fail at the time, equipped me for this very thing. I needed to know photography and how to capture images that grabbed attention. I had to understand how to design graphics and use different editing software, how to communicate with people, and sell products. And those books I wrote? That gave me the skills to write copy for busy businesses. That was the education that landed me here and I didn't even know it.

I could register an LLC with my eyes closed but I had to really think about how God wanted to use my creativity for His glory.

I found a way to piece together all the different aspects of my creativity to build something that would help brands like yours flourish in the digital space.
